Default Kastaplast Plastics

Has anyone else tried dying Kastaplast discs? I'm having a WICKED time with the K1 plastic taking dye. It's supposed to be their ultra-premium, similar to Prodigy 400G (which takes dye fantastically) However, even after a 24 hour soak, there are significant "patches" that did not take any dye on both front and back... I'm not doing any design, just changing colors. 7 out of 16 discs in my bag have undergone this dye process with all the same materials involved, so all I can figure is that there is something slightly strange with K1 plastics that resist dye...

I dye discs a few times a week to get as close to pink as I can (all pink bag) and have never run into a premium plastic that is this finicky. Anyone else notice this with Kasta?

I've never tried. However, I do believe I have 1 of their discs in my dye stash pile.

Thatdirtykid throws the hell out of them. I'm sick of watching him hit 60 footers with his Berg!

I'm wondering if part of the problem was that I didn't wash the disc first and then used old dye... I mean, I've used this dye for 5-6 discs with no problem on others, but this didn't want to take much. Moreover, you can definitely see fingerprints on the back where the dye didn't take. The disc was new and unthrown, but I had just received it from RDG and you can see where somewhere along the manufacturing process, stamping process, storage, shipping, and my handling that there was some oil from skin. Not a big deal, just something I've never experienced in dyeing.
