Default Gilligan's Islands - first ever PDGA event at Madeline Bertrand - 10/12/19

You people sell this thing out and I'm dressing up as Skipper and calling everyone buddy. The DGS page is incomplete at the moment so check back as it is updated.

First ever PDGA event? Not just this century? Surprised they never had PDGA events there in the 80s and 90s but perhaps never with results posted to PDGA online. Cool that you're running one there.

To be fair, it was over 30 years ago. I imagine no one currently in the park's management was around back then.

Also, I think the tournament is a relatively recent addition to the online database. The PDGA has been working for the last few years on putting online all the old events that had previously only been recorded on paper. Until they did that, that tournament was probably forgotten by even the people that played it.

Hah! I was just looking at that myself. Most of those are 4 digit numbers and we're up to 6 digits now.

That was a year before I joined in 1989 with PDGA #4949. The PDGA has gotten almost 5 times as many new members in the past 20 months as the number of members who had joined during the 6-7 years before that event.
