P.S.

and give it a try to start with a straight arm. it takes 1 joint outta play to err with, if its in the reachback position from the beginning on.

in about chest/rip height (try 45°) and try to keep the arm always straight from your body. it feels and looks strange, but that is the right way.

oh and lean a bit forward...ON THE TOES, but plant on the side and twist on your heal! that doesnt hurt your knee!

and keep your eyes away from the target....trust your line - thats very important not to lift the shoulder and open the hips to early! and that occurs, when "watching the disc"!
watch 90° away from the target all the time and let your shoulder lift your head in the follow through!! VERY VERY IMPORTANT!

oh, and during the last step with your plant foot, try to straighten the plant leg and try to get the plant a couple of inches "in front" of the trajectory line. and try to put the toes down first and then you roll over the side on your heal. (supination or how is it called?)

that way only that way you lock your hips! you feel it, when you do it right...try loop ghosts way!

Default Finally got a tripod - please help me fix my backhand

Thanks guys! Scraping Micha that concept of throwing a heavy bench really resonated with me! sidewinder22 I’ve been watching the power of posture over and over in my home office.

Here are a couple of throws this morning. I know I’m rounding, my off arm is all jacked up, etc. Just focused on the brace this morning. First vid is one step, second is with a small run up. I think it’s progress...

Looks like your rear foot is pigeon toed inward, around 70 degrees pointed from target and needs to be flared out some pointed more than 90 degrees away from target, like 135 degrees away. So that your whole body can turn further back into the plant including front leg/foot.

Your head/spine is landing tilted over the front leg, so you are tipping over or pushing over the top of your spine going into the plant instead of driving the hips forward underneath the upper body. When your front heel plants, looks like your rear foot is trying to push through a braced front leg, but your rear foot needs to be done pushing before the front heel plants.

I'm not a fan of starting stance with feet together and taking a large stride, I don't think this helps and tends to put your balance/weight too far back. Would recommend starting in a too wide stance and striding front foot away from target into a narrower stance. And/or starting in shoulder width stance and taking a smaller 6" stride into plant. And/or One Leg Drill where the front foot doesn't move - which is really where you should be working from because you don't understand yet how you need to land on your front leg to swing from, so you don't know how you are supposed to leave from the rear foot to land on the front foot.

Would also recommend watching best downswing weightshift and tilted spiral a few times, lots of good stuff in there and hard to take it all in without watching several times.

Agree with your assessment. I think I’m going to spend this entire week doing the one leg drill and just focusing on the hit and getting my body used to the proper position over that front leg
