Couldn’t find a dedicated thread for this mold. I’m curious if it could be a cheaper replacement for sexybirds. Anybody?

I think it would be close. It seems like a firebird clone, with the edge bead similar to a firecird/teebird/pd etc. Haven't had enough experience with sexybirds to be certain, though. The extra purported glide suggests the similar.

I held one in a PIAS today, it's got a very comfortable classic OS fairway feel. Very much like a 9 speed machete in terms of wing shape, which is no huge surprise. Top was also nice and flat, if I was in the market for a dependable OS fairway I'd happily check this one out. Currently the Stal fills that role however and I'm quite happy with it.

This is a very weird evaluation, and I disagree with it, enough so that I have to post a rebuttal.

The machete is a stretched predator wing, has a fairly substantial change in curvature near the bottom of the wing (more pronounced in the predator than the machete) The raptor is much more similar to a PD wing, with a notch at the edge of the wing, and not as much taper to the curvature. Flight is pretty similar to a PD also.

After some field practice and a round bagging the Raptor, my takeaway is that it'll work for me as a longer Zone.
To me it's what I wanted the Buzzz OS to be.
And for what it's worth I'm not a long power thrower, more of an MA40 noodle arm.

That doesn't sound like a 9 speed disc to me.

Threw it for a whole round today around 10 times and it is not very OS I would rate my 169 first run at an 8 4 0 1

I bought a Glo Z & had the same opinion. I think I reviewed as an 8/5/0/2. Something like that. Not near as OS as my FD3's. It's a good disc but just not going to replace anything I already use. Sounds more like a Discraft Teebird3 rather than a Firebird competitor.
