In the B position (today and tomorrow), getting close to the basket with a skip off the asphalt would be pretty miraculous. It's 100' farther than the regular position.

However, saying that - the scoring separation is off the charts good.

Probably a "field ace" with a skip, based on Metrix stats.

And I was about to quote you. HAHA. Yea, it plays "better" statistically, but like you I enjoyed the occasional melt downs it had before.

Harold discussed changes with Andrew and me several weeks ago. He wanted to find way(s) to keep the hole challenging with good risk/reward spread and reduce the likelihood of double digit scores. Looks like what his team decided to do worked, no credit to Andrew or me. We simply supported their tweaks.

What just happened to Barsby on 17 was so mean. Maybe a mini wall like they had at La Mirada is needed? Or maybe not.

Here's something to think about... Wonderkid Kevin Jones got one of the VERY LAST invites to USDGC. He finished 26th at Vibram Open to qualify and since that tournament is so late in the year, most of the top guys have already qualified by then, so they keep going until they fill the 5 slots. He got the last one of the 5. Gibson finished 11th, Renner 17th, Presnell & McCabe at 22, and Jones at 26.

I'd say he is getting getting everything and more you could expect from being one of the last guys in...

Round 2 is complete and here are the top 5:

Nathan Sexton
Jeremy Koling
Gregg Barsby
Devan Owens
Richard Wysocki

4 of the best forehanders in the game and 1 lefty - should one assume this course favors the forehand/lefty ?
