My mistake then, maybe I'm letting the locals I play with cloud my memory.

Either way, If Gazelles are only to be gotten at the Pro Shop, when my stash is burned through, I'll find something else.

I posted this over on the Discraft thread, but maybe it's worth reposting here since this thread is more relevant:

I think the problem with DGCR making judgements around which discs Innova ought to discontinue (other than the obvious fact that we don't have their sales figures) is that most of DGCR are somewhat serious Intermediate to Advanced level players (with a few Open players). We all try to set up our bags in logical ways to cover all lines with gaps between speed classes, etc. We tend to setup our bags in a similar way to a lot of pros. Companies like Prodigy have tried ONLY releasing discs in speed classes with gaps that make sense for intermediate to pro level players, and I don't think that works well for the rec level players who actually buy most of the discs sold. Unlike us, rec players set up their bag around 2 or 3 discs that they really like because they have a cool name or because they "clicked" with them the first time they threw them or whatever. If they're buying lots of Cheetahs, Archangels, and Skeeters and having fun with them, who cares? Those discs may not make sense for you and me, but they might be great for some people. I don't think there's anything wrong with Innova offering a full lineup of speeds and stabilities including loads of discs most DGCR folks would never use.

I'm not a big sharp disc guy. I don't want to derail the thread but I think we should be all throwing Zephyrs.

Exorbitant.

Innova's lineup is WAAAYYY too cluttered and confusing. There are actually quite a few molds they could ditch and wouldn't be missed.

Groove
Monarch- Neither of these molds are good for anything.
Dominator- Totally redundant with the Boss, which flies better anyway.
Katana- Too inconsistent from disc to disc and not an outstanding flier.
Viking- Redundant
Archon- Too much like a Wraith.
Krait- Same as above.
Daedalus- Not really sure where this disc is supposed to fit. Redundant.
Archangel- I guess this one could be a hit with beginners, but otherwise its awful.
Wolf- Worst disc I've ever thrown. Makes the Archangel seem awesome.
Monster- Too many other OS options available already.

I actually like that Discraft takes discs off that aren't selling well. Innova on the other hand seems to blithely crank out 34 different molds at a time. How they even do this is beyond me. Oh, and I really wish Innova would stop making L molds. Call it something else, whatever, but don't make something and call it a Starfire L. Call it something else entirely.

TW - Innova needs QC, it's not the Katana's fault. Those bomb when they're made proper!

The Wolf is legit terrible. So wtf are people still throwing the Roc for?? There are other discs that fly like that and dont suck so much!

I vote Roc and Wolf, and anything else they made with that lower.
