I was just going to say the same thing. I recently got a fossil and fossil fuel wizard, and they are both firm and slick.

Maybe PWP, Fossil, or G25. I also have a black Organic from last year that is much stiffer than other Organics I have felt, but still has a gritty feeling (not slick at all). Some online retailers will specify how stiff the discs are, which makes it easier to pick. Also, if they do come in slick, just wash them with soap and water, as that usually does the trick.

I have been not paying attention to the gateway plastic/wizard game for a while, what does PWP stand for? Does fossil come in only one stiffness?

PWP was "pure white prototype". It yellowed in sunlight. The new "PW", production blend, is stiffer and better and doesn't seem to yellow. They're great OS throwers and nice stuff putters. I'll stick to putting with G25s until I run out, but these will make great stand-ins once I am out of G25 (which you can't really get anymore).

I like the Fossil plastic very much. A fossil Scale is my glideless OS approach and driving Wiz, but they've not started very OS in my opinion, and so the fill the straight and US throwing putter roles. They do make GREAT off the shelf putting putters too. They just don't have that nice mildly-OS Wizard flight at full power (200-250ish feet).

Stiffer OGs and stiffer "S" blends are great too, for what you're asking about.

Wizards FTW.

I have thrown/fondled a scale but liked the depth of the wizard better. I guess I should just call Gateway, their putter deals are pretty sweet. It's tough to find that stiff but not slick putter that's mildly OS.

Sorry. I was not clear at all.

I use a Scale as a glideless/OS approach Wiz. But Fossil WIZARDS are not OS to start -- neutral at best at power. So I use the following Wizard setup"

Fossil Scale -- OS/Glideless placement/driving/approach Wizard and headwind putter.
PW Wizard -- Mildly OS driving and upshot putter.
G25 Wizard -- Putting only (great throwers, but I only have 5 and so I reserve them for putting. If they would do another run, I would buy 15 with my Team's stamp and never throw anything else.)
Fossil Wizard -- US thrower and backup/tailwind/anny putter.

I know the PWPs yellowed, but were they decent otherwise?

yes. but the PWs are better (there were at least two runs of PWPs, some stiffer than the other while the PWs have been consistently stiff and gritty, IMO).

Just won a bid on a G25. Looking forward to it, but my wallet blames you ODRB. I really needed another Wizard about like a hole in the head.

Oh no. There was no reason for that at all. PWs are great if you like stiff, OS, and flat. I have just gotten used to putting the G25s -- same one has been in my putting slot for over 2 years now.
