So, I decided to cave and try the undertaker out. I ordered an ESP and a Ti to try out. Not sure where they would fit into my bag, but I figured it was time to try em out after reading nothing but good things for a couple years(?) now.

My bag has been pretty much set for years- the only change in the past 5 years at was swapping the Trespass for the Zeus.

I've never felt like I was missing anything, so it Undertakers might not stick around. But I just wanted to try em out.

Based on your sig, I'd guess you'd find it to be a longer Eagle or beat Pred.

How did you like this switch? What plastic where you using for the Trespass?

I threw the Trespass from its release up until last spring when I swapped over to the Zeus. I carried it in Hybrid, Lucid, and Lucid-X. I loved the mold (and I still do btw), but it was a bit touchy for my arm speed.

With the Trespass:
-An Anny release would turnover and never comeback
-A flat release produced a fairly controlled turnover with a small amount of late fade.
-A little hyzer would flip up to flat, gently turnover, then fade back to center.
-A hyzer release would flip up to flat, ride straight, and fade gentle.

It was very workable in calm conditions, and would glide for days. But throw wind into the mix and it could get unreliable.

With the Zeus:
-An anhyzer release will give a nice gentle turnover with a small fade back for a flat landing.
-A flat release (I can really lean into it here) will offer a nice little flex with a healthy fade back to center.
-A little hyzer will flip up, ride flat, and fade out
-A hyzer release will pretty much hold a nice hyzer all the way through.

Noticeably more stable, but still responds well to my arm speed. Much more consistent in the wind for me than the Trespass, while still being noticeably less stable than the Force that I bag for headwind distance.

Overall, I found the Zeus to just be more reliable for my arm, and a touch longer on normal golf lines.

All of that having been said. I am keeping all of my Trespasses. I'm 31 now, and while I legitimately feel like I am in the best shape of my life, I recognize that my arm speed will begin to decrease, and when that happens I'm going straight back to the Trespass.

Yeah. I'm just not sure if that's something I need. I've never felt like I am missing it, and perhaps I'm underestimating the usefulness of a nice, straight pred-speed disc.

But I'm excited to give them a test and see what they are like.

Have you thrown a Vulture?

My only experience is with the Titanium Vulture. I really like it for the straight shot like a beat Pred.

The Vulture is one of the few Discraft molds that occasionally makes it back into my bag. Good feel in the hand, decent stability without being overstable, and excellent glide.

Nope. Outside of the discs in my sig, I haven't thrown much else in the past 5-7 years or so. I like what I bag, stocked up, and just roll with 'em. Prior to that, I pretty much tried every new thing I could get my hands on. Still holding on to some molds I have liked throughout the years but don't bag currently (Buzzz, Trespass (see story above), Challengers)

But lately I've kinda had an itch to try out some of the discs I haven't been trying throughout the years. Decided to start with the Undertaker. Perhaps I'll try a Vulture out sometime soon if I like the undertaker.

Agree, it should nestle quite nicely between those. I'm still deciding between a mantis or undertaker for that slot. Longer than a stalker, straighter finish than a beat predator

Undertaker is a bettet bet than the Mantis. I actually have dropped Undertakers since I found no real reason to bag both UTs and Stalkers, and the Stalkers were more consistent for me.
