Default 5/1 - ? Kansas to ?

Can you believe it has been 10 years since my last solo road trip? (june 2011). Well guess what friends. I'm giddy with excitement as I've worked so hard to get to this point with my business - that I'm able to take a vacation, after 1.5 years of pushing about as hard as I can. I have 2 weeks of the hardest pushing of that 1.5 years remaining before I leave for DDO. After that event I expect to be utterly exhausted and burnt out as well as nearly completely devoid of any inventory. I'm going to take my time getting back to the shop.

This will be a period of at least 1 week. As of now I have no specific destination in mind, I'm sure as soon as I start poking around I'll get some leads. Tell me about destination disc golf! Any direction (away from MN/WI).

I feel like there should be some epic music playing in the background, I'm just so excited

Well, I can provide you a list of all the courses I HAVE played pretty easily..

I know I didn't put any limits in the op - but the 3 areas highest on my list to play, are a bit outside of my range for this trip - SoCal, New England, Florida.

South? TX again? 3 of the last 4 trips with my dad brought us through TX, there's still plenty to play, and it could well be an option. OK, LA, AR? I'll look into it, I'm sure there's options..

East? At the end of sept I have a trip scheduled to TN (I guess maybe I should plan that one in more depth as I'm planning this one :/ I've never planned in advance before, who have I become?!).

West? It's a bit early for mountains, and I'm not sure if there's enough to do outside of the mountains that I haven't played..

I'm sure there's courses on my radar, or that should be on my radar - one that comes to mind off the top of my head is Hanna Hills (though that could easily be paired with the TN trip). Looks like a couple other courses in that area as well..

Pirates ridge in Northern Arkansas intrigues me.

First stop (well besides the other stops I've made up until this point, 7 courses so far) - Longview. They tell me it's the best of Kansas.

If you decide to come through Texas we are looking for an excuse to go play Tyler.

How was Longview? Never heard of it so I looked it up. Sounds pretty excellent.

If you are looking for disc golf you won't be disappointed in the Cincinnati area.

We're also known for good food besides the great Cincy chili.

Yeah, it was solid. A number of holes that could be "signature' holes, some pretty epic shots. Definitely worth the detour. Best in Kansas? Probably, at least from what I can think of, better than Clover Cliff I would say, I'm not sure what other courses might even be in the discussion. All that said, It's fairly average when compared to the other top courses in the country - I don't even know my top courses any more, but I might say this could crack my top 100, maybe top 50.

Anyway, I'm still in this area, lots of courses around, Probably play kansas for one more day before heading into Missouri/Arkansas.
