That's simple too...the players that don't have scores written on their scoreport card once everyone's in are the ones you DNF.

Just stop writing their score and on the hole they leave I draw a line threw the non played holes and write DNF at the total. Easier for TDs to see.

I do as well.

From PDGA BOD February Minutes:

"work on the PDGA Tournament Scoring app for official paperless scoring is almost ready for early-stage testing"

Update to OP. Suspension changed to probation. So, basically, "please don't cheat again, or else." It makes me wonder what merits a suspension aside from keeping the PDGA's money.

Plenty of players have been suspended for various things other than non-payment. I don't think this is a matter of the PDGA not caring enough to discipline players. I think it's entirely due to the appeal. We see it all the time in other sports...player does something wrong, gets suspended, appeals and has the penalty reduced (5 game suspension to a 3 game suspension, etc). The only difference is that in other sports, the appeal is assumed and I think suspensions are often stiffer initially knowing that they'll be reduced on appeal. I doubt that kind of thinking is on the disciplinary committee's mind at this stage.

If this was the player's first offense, even as severe an offense as it was, I don't think we should be surprised that he doesn't get the book thrown at him, particularly on appeal. Fact remains that the player is branded with this "crime" forever moving forward. This isn't a case of suspected pencil whipping, it's proven and "convicted" pencil whipping. Everyone he ever plays with again should be aware of and watchful of his scorekeeping reputation.
