Maybe because the TeeBird is such an iconic name, it seems lazy to me to just use initials for such a great disc.
I was going to post the TL and then realized I'd rather have TL over Teebird Lite. Either way, stuff like that, CD1, FD etc it's kind of lame. The Jackal should be the only name instead of FD.

That makes more sense then. If they had kept with the "bird" theme (Firebird, Thunderbird, TeeBird), I wonder what they would have gone with.

I'd go with Songbird because it sings such a sweet tune.

Could have called the TL a Birdie and the Birdie "Tupperware Lid" and it would have been better.

Nah more a disc like Egale perhaps Turkey Vulture or something as the TL has as an easy throw just like the bird the Turkey Vulture doing easy flying, using the currents and thermals a good portion of the time. I am just basing the guess off of name TL, TV as code name when making disc is just odd as that is Television short name.

More then likely it is TL for the parts of two discs it uses Teebird and Leopard, not sure which parts of each disc the TL uses though.

Birdie should have been named Deep Dish like the style of Pizza, had a picture of the Deep Dish Pizza on it. It is one of the deepest true disc golf discs made, not just PDGA legal disc but rather a disc made for disc golf.

One example I noticed is the Roadrunner, I can't get my beginner friends to believe it's a really really good driver for people with our arm speed, since it's a "roller".
Also the -4 turn on a poptop Barsby signature, is just plain wrong? Flies like a latitude disc with -1 2...

Guess I'll have to prove it on the course.

I have 2 star RRs and no way in hell are they -4, 1.

For beginners go with a Gold Line River or Teebird DX. I swear the RRs seem like 10, 6, -2, 2.

For topic discussion I'd say the River is a awesome name and a bad name at the same time haha.

On a calm day, my RR flies like a Valkyrie, but into a headwind the likeliness to turn is a big difference.
