I am wondering if anyone has some experience of both River and Maverick and could compare those two?
I have River moonshine (turnovers) and River opto-X but thinking on switching them out to the Maverick. Any thoughts? Thanks, Sponsored Links

Why switch?

I think the River is a bit touchy, and also want a touch more fade in the end of the flight.

I found the maverick less touchy than the river (sample size of one for each disc).
I haven’t thrown them side by side though, I may have to try that when it warms up

I've found the name River includes a pretty wide continuum of discs. A heavy Opto with a decent PLH flies as the stable disc they advertise it as. A light GL or any River with low PLH can get flippy quickly - always best to inspect the disc before buying with this mold.
I'll wager you'll have joy switching to a Dynamic mold though - I'm getting tired of waiting for Gold Line Rivers, which have been out of stock almost everywhere for a long time.

Which is one reason among several that I moved on from the River to the Leopard3.

Have a Star and Champion waiting to try when the snow melts. Lat needs to get their merde together for the intermediate/recreational player.

The River is touchy with moderate wind +. Without it. I love how I can keep it any angle I need. It's the only driver I'm confident in going on an exact straight line with 0 fade. These are usually tunnel shots where I have to keep it low.

I have a Burst Fuzion Mav that I've thrown a handful of times and I haven't thrown Rivers in ages so take this as you will. My Maverick seems like it takes a little more oomph to get it turned over than my Rivers did. My Rivers weren't really flippy, probably decently high PLH Optos from what I remember, but when you hit them hard they usually weren't coming back to center. The Mav flies more like a nice stable TL or TD to me. It will fade back a little bit if there's enough hang time. I have no idea how it will beat in though. Probably into a nicely consistent turnover driver.
