Schumaker Pond is Marylands only course worth visiting while at Ocean City.

I say Cape Henlopen Hands DOwn....

There are 2 camps those who love Cape Hen and those who hate it....either way it will definetely leave an impression...I'd reccommend both but only play Schu if its on your way.....If its on your way you'd have a better time at Trap Pond.

Cape Hen is the only course nearby OCMD

Not sure what you consider "far," but I've heard good things about Trap Pond State Park if you're willing to cross into Delaware about a half hour or so from Ocean City.

I am only judging Maryland courses. I have only played Northern Delaware.

Trap, Schumaker and Henlopen are all about the same distance/time from OC. Schumaker has duel tees and duel baskets, as does Trap. Trap and Henlopen charge $6 or $8 to enter, while Schumaker is a free public park.

My preference is:
Schumaker
Trap
Henlopen (a distant third)
