Thumbs up Best way to make a dg clock

Hey everyone,

I have a son on the way and am wanting to make him a dg clock for his bedroom. It took me a while to pick out the right disc (glow champ aviar w/ 2011 Asia Open logo - chinese zodiac rainbow stamp), but wanted to know ...

1. Where to buy the battery pack and clock hands
2. How to install properly

I appreciate anyone who has expertise in this area.

not expertise, but i think there is a fairly standard DIY clock kit available from your local radio shack.

consists of the battery pack/mechanicals on one side, punch a maybe 1/8" hole though the disc, snap hands on to the post sticking out the other side. check your clearances (domey would work better i guess), and you're set.

2nd (or 3rd) this emotion.

Should be able to punch the hole with a small drill or similar tool.

I'm stealing this idea. Better on like clear or just bright disc. Won't matter cuz my students can't tell time.
