Default Seneca Creek State Park DGC-HELP!!!

Hi,
First time poster, avid disc golfer. I am visiting the DC area for a week from Flagstaff,AZ and need some serious help to get to this course. Would I be able to take public transit to it? Or is anyone planning on going there that wouldn't mind me tagging along. Hints, tips, tricks all greatly appreciated!!!

Will be in DC October 1-7th. Days targeting are 4th and 5th

Public transportation to the park is possible, but not particularly easy or fast. You could take the subway (Metro) red line to the Shady Grove Station. Then get on the Montgomery Ride On bus #61, which goes right by the Park entrance, but then it's a good 30 minute walk to the course from there. You could arrange a taxi from the metro to the park, but that might be costly.

If you do make other arrangements, and can make it, there are Wednesday night doubles, that start around 4:00 to 4:30 pm this time of the year. Park closes around 7:00 pm (dusk).

There are a group of retirees that play around 9:30 AM daily, if that fits your schedule. This time of year, during the work week, course isn't crowded during the day, so best bet would be late afternoon.

Thanks. I think I'm going to try Friday morning before I fly out in the afternoon.
