Maybe if they used hand gernades that go off if they don't go in the hole?

I'll bet there are a hundred other sports/games out there, with avid players who think that ESPN should be covering them, too.

Many of which display more action, athleticism, and drama than disc golf---and in a much more compact, easy-to-cover venue, in matches that conclude in less than 3 days.

We were driving through Belfast, Maine yesterday and I saw the Belfast Curling Club beside the road. I think I've only ever seen curling in the Winter Olympics, but there was the local club, big as day... So many niche sports out there.

I've had three friends post that this week. It's cool. Amongst 'coolest things I've ever seen', not even on the top 100. I'm more impressed with Philo's albatross, a clutch long ball golf putt or a bowler hitting a 7-10 split.

The PDGA just doesn't have a clue how to (or simply doesn't want to) market the professional side of the sport. And everyone else in the business, is in the business of marketing themselves.
This is the cynical view of things, but I'd be hard-pressed to say you're wrong.

I caught an episode of this on YouTube. People climbing slippery slides, balance beams over water to cross, announcers disrespecting the competitors. Might as well be MXC mini golf. If I were a serious mini-golf forum member I'd be livid that they'd made a mockery of such a serious sport that I love. Up yours Steph!

interesting point. i wonder if disc golf were to be made fun of in this way, how would disc golfers take it?... some would be "yes! finally getting on tv" and others would say "no! they are ridiculing our sport"
