Default Mad City Open

Hello all,

I am one of the organizers of last year's and this year's MCO. We are in the process of making decisions on what direction we want to take the tournament in. I would really appreciate any feedback about the tournament, good or bad, if you attended. If you didn't play and possibly could have, what prevented you from attending. There are a ton of new variables this year with AM Worlds in Madison, the Disc Golf Pro Tour, Disc Golf World Tour, PDGA NTs and too many others to mention. We are trying to figure out where the MCO fits in this year and in the coming years. There has been extensive talks about focusing on our primary course, Vallarta-Ast (Token Creek), because of the course quality, amenities and relative control of the park during tournaments. We are dedicated to continuing the traditions of the MCO and expanding its national reach. We are actively seeking corporate sponsorship to increase prize pools and exposure. There are a lot of behind the scenes to organizing larger events and we feel that the tourney last year went fairly well but your input is invaluable.

Thanks!

I think a "Token Gold" layout is needed.

I would love to see a Token heavy, even exclusive if possible, MCO. It'll be my first in MPO, I'm coming for you Dana.

I believe I saw on PDGA site somewhere that it's June 18 & 19 weekend.

Being someone who played in the intermediate division I thought it was very well run, awesome time hanging after each round with beer and food.

My only complaint (if you even want to call it that) is that we played only 3 out of the 4 courses, and for Token we only played the first 18. I understand though time wise that it's very unlikely to get everything in during a single weekend. Also I wouldn't run the extra course sunday evening as it was awesome to see the final card at Token.

Basically I'm saying there isn't any complaints here! Great job last year and I'll be there this coming year!
