the magic is my go to putter. i use it well up to 220' after that i wouldn't really try it. you can get a magic to do anything you want. just go do some field work and you can master them in no time.

See, this is what I was really getting at. Since it is obviously less stable than a Wizard, Im more wondering if it is realistic of me to try to push its driving distance as far as I would have hoped to with a Wizard, Banger, Ion or Ridge because of that.

I imagine its possible but not practical.

I just find my magics too finicky when driving...esp if there's ANY wind.

I'm going back and forth between a Wizard and a Magic right now, seeing what works best. I did order an Evo HPP Wizard for long approach shots/drives because I love the Wizard for that.

i mean you can try it. i can get my magic out as far as my rhyno. which is about as drivable as they come. it's a different throw, but you just have to tweak your current throw a bit. i still carry my rhyno for the wind, but i hardly ever use it. magics are the biz.

i use magics for driving and putting. i have a SS chalky for putting and an Evo, that is gummy and awesome, that i drive with. i can push them out to 250' pretty easily. they'll hold beautiful hyzers with just a little fade on them. they'll stay flat and and just glide out with almost no fade. or you can anny them around any corner or just a gentle turn and they'll hold that pretty great as well.

they are pretty touchy though and if you don't release it on the right angle you'll pay for it. crash and burn city. also if there's wind. forget about it grab your roc like you mentioned

EDIT: if you go for an EVO get a gummy one. they feel the are sooooo much better then the stiff Evo plastic.

So far Im loving them for their approach and putt, as I've said before. Im hoping to figure out how to drive with them to where I dont need another putter along, and to an extent, Rocs seem to provide function enough on the short stable to overstable and wind duties for the approach game, but Im more worried about when it falls into that drive category where I could easily push the Roc or a Comet too far on a straight or turned over throw.

Basically, I just gotta figure ut what the Magics limit is going to be so I know when I throw it its max distance, its only going to go so far where I know it would be a hard guess for how much to take off on my mids.

my limit is 250, but i can get it out there pretty easily. any farther then that and it seems a bit unpredictable to me.. but i'm sure people with much better form than me could push them out to 300. the glide on them alone is enough to get them out there i think

I don't remember the thread, but there was one where Mike C talked about this a bit. IIRC, he said that Magics get squirrelly at longer distances, and that's why he uses Wizards, or something to that effect.

It may have been somewhere in the Ion thread, but I don't feel like going prerube.

Edit: I just saw your post #29, Techno. So yeah, Mike C.
