Holler in the Hills, just showed back up in the top 25. apparently it closed before I started bagging courses.
https://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=3213

looks like my kind of course, minus the teeing surfaces. For those that have played it and other regional gems, what level of elevation does this have? Is it up there with nearby regional courses Mahr Park and Panther Creek? or more like a Bud Hill and Harmon Hills?

its 3 1/2 hours from me. day trip range.

I can't compare it to the courses you mentioned because I haven't played any of them. That said, just go play it, I promise you'll love it.

It's easily a top 5 of the 130+ I've bagged.

Do we know whether Holler in the Hills is back in the ground with the previous design or if the design is new?

No idea. My guess would be that it's mostly the same. I asked Goatman in the Holler thread, we'll see if he has any insight.

DGCR member Goatman commented on the course's wall tab, that it is in the original 18 hole configuration.

rightfully so. Safety issues on a few holes and the lack of upkeep weren't impressive

Like many mountain courses you just played it at the wrong time. I’ve been there 3 times in the past 3 years and was perfect each time.
