There are also some states where you can only enter from "high risk" zones if you quarantine for 14 days, or test negative immediately before entering.
Yeah....you, of course, are absolutely correct. Working from home now, I completely overlooked this. Makes my musing pointless.

It was plausible back when they were at 2% positivity rates and less than 1,000 daily cases. At 20,000 daily cases and positivity approaching 10%, there's no way.

I developed a bad cold over the weekend and ran out on Monday to get a COVID test. Went to the state-run testing site, which has a 4-7 day turnaround. Later in the day I was able to get into a local clinic that does same-day rapid tests (came back negative). Both places were totally slammed all day long and from what I could see, I was the only visibly sick person.

Everyone else around me either had super mild symptoms, or was testing for some other reason. So I assume a lot of people have those kinds of special circumstances where a negative test is needed for proof.

I've only been quarantined once so far and that was back when you couldn't get tested, but I work with people that have been quarantined 4 or 5 times so far.

Why head to Facebook when all the world-renowned epidemiologists post here? This is obviously the place where I’ll find out why Sweden has so few deaths lately despite their freedoms. Or is that not on your agenda? Doesn’t fit with your theories?

These tests are tested. Even if a weakness makes it out of the lab, over time it will be discovered. Once a specific weakness is known, a second, different, test without the first test's weakness can be used for confirmation. This is the basic strategy of a successful use of signal detection theory.

I don't trust Mark Zuckerberg, but I do trust timg.

I'm not a world renowned epidemiologist, but I do have a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health and a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science.

Other than your obvious skills in critical thinking, what's your background Mr.K?
