Default Innova history Qs logos, waxy DX, patents

Is there a history of Innova stamps/plastics? I picked up some used Innova discs. They have no flight numbers, do have patents, do have website on the logo, and the DX plastic feels tacky, softer and waxy, unlike newer DX I have.

I read that in around 2010 Innova quit printing the patents on the bottom. When did they add the website on the stamp, and add flight numbers?

Here's a place to start: https://www.flyingdiscmuseum.com/ if they don't have the information on the website...they should have a contact page and you could email them.

It probably has more specs on other discs, but the few I was looking at had very basic info. Better than nothing though.

This type of DX plastic was really common when I first started playing, which was around 2011 I think. Still have one of those types of Aviars in my bag (it's completely thrashed and has even been run over by a car, but it's still useful for certain things).

I quit playing in 2009 to 2014 and in that time in late 2014 or early 2015 when I got a few discs at my Walmart when they first started selling discs in late 2014 or early 2015 I noticed about 1/2 in DX had flight numbers all discs at the local Walmart had Pro plastics and under at it, mostly due to other brands getting them on all discs. Innova had flight numbers but only on R-Pro, Champion, Star and G-Star plastics in 2009 sometime and this caused most other brands to put them on all discs at some point not just premium plastic and some baseline made after flight numbers.

The Waxy DX it varies from run to run now as of 2010's sometime not just whole years where it was all one way. But the Dragon mold in DX has become more and more until now where it is a waxy stuff R-Pro like plastic but still only as durable as DX.

Flight numbers on the discs were an around 2010-ish thing. I'd guess they started in '09 but I for-sure saw them in '10.

The website I'm pretty sure was always in the swish of the logo; they started using the logo in 2003. The discs you have are going to be in that '03-'09 timeframe.

Waxy DX happens. It comes and goes. There have been waxy runs on and off for decades. I don't think you can really date waxy DX to any specific time frame.
