MM, how is that going to shake out?
A whole lot of shakin goin on! Of course a lot depends on what JJ decides to do. Nothing of Bear is on JJ's property. On Granite only the goal on hole #7 might be affected. I'm not sure about Blueberry #3 and #4. They might be partially affected. The greatest affect of privately owned lots is on the gold course where there is a great deal of interaction between individual lots and the course. There holes 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 might be problematic depending on existing agreements and the attitudes of the owners. There are 11 other lot owners besides JJ. I am working at creating a Lot Owners Association hoping to benefit both Highbridge disc golf and the individual property owners.

Is January 8 too early for Thread of the Year nominations?

And has any thread ever won it in consecutive years?

I've never played at HBH, someday I hope for the chance to get there for a few days. I'm glad this story is heading in a positive direction. I'll tune in again in a few months once things shake out a little.

I've been looking at the plat map and it looks like Gold #12 and #13 will be affected (these are JJs parcels) and Blueberry #3, #4 looks like it may be just outside of the boundary line. His only access to the honka parcel is from the south so he could legally cut a road through Blueberry 5 if he wanted. He has no legal access to the honka house from the parking lot. I have some pdf files with satellite photos showing boundary lines for all JJs properties that I can send you or Tom so you can see exactly how the courses will be affected should he decide not to sell.

I imagine if you had the Honka inspected it would be found to be a hazard that needed to be demolished before it would pass.

Im pretty sure its John's sons who own the lots on gold. I talked to Eric today and he seemed more than willing to part with it. His lot is the one with the cabin and the other is Peters. Both sons are much more pleasant than their father.

Now that I know the sons names, Peters' lot is to the north of Erik. It looks like Erik has #10 and #11 Gold on his lot and Peter has #9 and #10. The three lots east of Peter along Mile Rd. belong to John. That affects Gold #12, #13 and maybe #14. I wonder if there are any boundary markers out there?

Slic owns lots which get played on holes 9 and 10. Hole 11 plays over Eric's lot. I'm not certain about holes 12 and 13, but I believe they use John's lots. Holes 14 and 15 are on either Roger's or Slic's lots. There is virtually no play on Peter's lot.
I don't think you can find any boundary or survey markers. I know where mine are!
