Max weight FAF old stiff neutron Resistors are beefy as hell, flight is similar to firebird but bit shorter and more skip (for me anyway)

Even among pros, only the most powerful players( see Conrad) use putters in place of mids for long shaped shots.

Edit: come to think of it, even Conrad uses mids for shaped shots.
I prefer long fairways and lightly wooded courses myself.

There are some heavily wooded short old school courses around my area that were designed with the old floaty midrange comet style discs back in the 70s, so i hear ya. Occasionally a floaty midrange line shaper would be easier than what i can do with my Envy/Resistor combo, i would agree there are times where a midrange make the job easier but i have been able to manage without.

I have been experimenting with making my bag as simple/minimalist as possible the past couple years. The idea is to throw fewer molds that cover more shots and in return throwing those molds more often to developing better muscle memory and more consistency with the molds. It has been working great, my rounds are much more consistent and i know the discs better so i can actually throw more lines with them than i could before. You would be surprised what you can learn to do with an Envy when its all you have!

In the past i have tried to have one mold for every shot and so i kept adding discs to my bag. Eventually, i had so many discs that I couldn't remember how they all flew! Some of them i would only throw 1 time in a round for a specific shot and it ALWAYS resulted in a bad throw. I realized that i couldn't have the muscle memory or remember the flight for so many discs.

Over time the few molds i carry break in and lose some of their stability, filling in the less stable variant and i just rotate in a fresh one when the time comes. The only problem is if i lose one of my broken in discs it takes time to replace

Sias is a California pro. Toured pretty much all season with the big boys and got up over 1000 rated for the first time. Did you watch the San Francisco Open vids from this year? If so, he was the one that had the bounced in the thumber ace.

He's putting firm E Anodes and throwing Envys. I only watched the first vid so far and the holes they played weren't really volt holes. If Ian's callouts were correct, in that vid he used a P photon, N Octane, P Mayhem and P Matrix. Might have been a fairwayish type disc on one of the holes where AJ was talking so Ian didn't give the disc name.
