Are the Ledgestone Jawbreaker Comets worth throwing or just for collectors?

I love Comets but I hated those JB ones. Total junk imo. I threw/used two and they both warped badly. Kept an unused one in the collection. |

I'm Discraft dumb.
This Z plastic looks/feels like Innova's Champ plastic but maybe not as durable? <<question. I keep hearing about ESP, that seems more like the feel of pro or star plastic from Innova. If not then what is? |

Z is really durable, like Champion.
ESP is more similar to Star. Different runs of ESP might be more (or less) similar to Star than other runs |

It's especially abnormal that you have a puddle top Z already, unless it came to you heavily used. My FIRST comet is a Z, 10yrs old and it's puddle topped now. That's a lot more common straight from the factory with some ESP ones.

It has a small shoulder then a puddle top and is my OS Comet. I bought it in a bulk purchase so not sure of the history but it looked new before I threw it.

I usually bag one that's seen a handful of tree hits, and I love it for standstill/stupid flippy shots!

Maybe I missed something - when was Rebecca ever with Discraft, and got a tour disc? I've never even heard of a tour series Comet with her name on it, and I feel like I'm typically up to speed on most Comet related things

I know you guys were on the edge of your seats to find out if I would go back to bagging a Comet, and I'm happy to say yes, I've placed a nice max weight domey Z Comet in the bag to test out over a Buzzz.
The Z Comet / Z Wasp will be taking up most of my mid shots. Never clicked with the Comet in literally any plastic but Z, but for whatever reason this old-school disc molds up beautifully that way, who knows why. Just all the straightness and glide with none of the touchiness. Much better for finesse shots in the woods, and even for hyzer approaches over the Buzzz. No such thing as a free lunch though, and it will all come down to whether I feel like the Z Comet can stand up to any kind of wind, which was the main reason I gravitated toward the Buzzz as a straight mid previously. |

Love my comet, would a Roadrunner be a good choice? | RoundWounds | Discs | 21 | 05-07-2011 02:44 AM |
