Jomez just released a video where Big Jerm uses a Sidewinder on a sky roller line. He doesn't quite hit the ground at the proper angle because the disc is more overstable than he thought, but you should get the idea. And if you don't have the power that Big Jerm has (don't worry, most on this board don't ), no big deal. Your DX Sidewinder's understability should compensate for the lower power levels.

EDIT: relevant part starts at 2:00

In that video, Nate Sexton throws a much better roller angle (starts @2:22) directly after Big Jerm's Sidewinder roller. Nate threw a Thunderbird but this is the angle you probably want to land your disc. Thunderbirds are more overstable than Sidewinders so Nate's roller stands up slower than a Sidewinder would.

Also, the short ball golf course grass really helps the rollers hahaha

Thanks for the video, my Dx sidewinder is a 175g. I practiced some more with it yesterday. I have to get it on the ground quick or it looks like that first throw in the video.

Oh, rollers can be tricky for sure. And for that reason, it is usually one of the last shots people add to their game. Just like anything else, it takes practice and dedication to get it down to the science. Good luck and don't forget to ask for help if you want!

I've been able to roll my Dx at over 300 feet now.
I also picked up a champion sidewinder. It has a hint of turn but mostly goes straight for about 300 feet.

I've really been enjoying my Star Sidewinder this past summer, and just had 2 Pro Sidewinders show up today. Looking forward to tomorrow.
