Default Pro Boss VS Pro Destroyer

I am planning on experimenting with a new max driver and am looking at either the pro boss (not r-pro) or pro destroyer. I have thrown both discs in all available plastics except pro. What i want to know is; how does the pro boss break in? I recently tried two 167g star bosses and they were unthrowable for me. I did a lot of things to them to take the bite out and finally decided that i just don't have the arm for them.

I want a predictable max driver that will cover everything from straight hyzers, spike hyzers, hyzer flips, flat straight and rollers. What do you think is the best.

methinks you want a little too much out of one disc.

i'd go with the destroyer then- in my experience the wider the rim the less consistently the disc beats in. (actually i'd go with the pro wraith for something that stays useful throughout it's life- anything faster than that i take out of my bag as soon as it starts getting beat because i find them unpredictable)

pro boss is nice for a while, just dont hit anything with it cause the plastic isnt that durable, its alot less stable than a star boss, but when you throw it with just a little anny. it goes a ways

Pro Destroyer can be used for a greater # of lines as it starts out a good deal more HSS than any of the Pro Bosses i've thrown

You'd need more than one disc to do all of those things, regardless of how beat it is.

The Destroyer would be the more " out of the box " controllable disc.

I hope you realize the 167 Star Boss's you got are the MOST stable weight in the class, the most " meathooky ", more stable than the max weight ones. Thats probably why you got less than desirable results out of them.
That being said, mine is now beat to flippy in less than one year.

Pro plastic gets beat up really quick, so any characteristics you like when you get it will surely change, sometimes right before your eyes. Max distance drivers need to have a predictable line otherwise they are worthless, if you find that pro plastic works best for you, get a bunch.

Champion plastic still holds its original characteristics better than any other formula.
The Feldberg Boss's are meathooks for me, and will probably always stay that way, so they dont offer you much as far as options for shots.

Best I could recommend for long term predictability and shot flexibility would be a Champion Destroyer in the lightest weight you can find. I had a 168 gram CFR Destroyer when they first came out, kinda pop toppy, it was easier to control than the others were, with exceptional glide.

I need a much faster arm if I want to get my star Boss to anywhere even close as to what it is designed for. I get a better result from the Destroyer, but you got to put some force on that. I think the Boss is a lot more overstable. I might have the arm to throw it in a couple of years.

destroyer, just because if you want a roller eventually i dont know how the big dome on the boss will do as a predictable roller.
