Default Mont Avalanche course north of Montreal?

Hi all,

was wondering if anyone has played the Mont Avalanche course north of MOntreal recently, hoping to head up there with some friends who play ultimate on the weekend and have them try golf, was wondering if:
  • Is it still open (the phone number for the hill is not in service)
  • Do they rent discs (the brochure says yes but need to confirm)
  • Does anyone have a valid phone # or contact info?

Thanks!

Dan

Salut, est-ce que le cour a Mont Avalanche c'est overt?

Est-ce qu'il ya la location des discs disponible au site?

Est-ce que quelqun a un numero contact, le numero que j'ai trouve est pas encore en service?

Merci beacoup!

Dan,

Not sure why you would post this on a US hosted website and not the Ottawa, or even better, Montreal Board but whatever.

Contact Pete

peterlostintheland@hotmail.com

he should be able to fill you in on what is happening

Thumber,

in regards to your 'whatever' :

I'm new to DG and having tried it a couple times thought I'd introduce some discus loving friends to it - the only way I even found out about this forum is when I googled "disc golf Mont Tremblant' and a reference here, in this US hosted forum (imagine) to the course was close to the top of the list. Naturally, having no idea that Canadians even had forums up I thought I'd fire up a question here...but whatever.

Thanks for the info, I'll restrict posting to those sites closer to home in the future.

Is the course actually at Mont Tremblant? What a beautiful area! We went up there twice for races when we lived in NY...wish I would have known there was a course, I can only imagine its beauty, they had some seriously kick ass looking golf courses up there.

BTW, look into house rental, if it is offseason (IE not ski season IE now) you can get a 2 bedroom condo for the price of a motel 6 in America. The last time we stayed in one that had a sauna, heated floors, california king bed, huge fireplace and a bunkroom for the kids for like 89 a night.

That's exactly the plan, we're renting a chalet that sleeps twelve, the whole thing is part of a buddy's stag....take in some majestic mountain beauty, fresh air, exercise, all that, and then hit poolside with some ice cold brew-dogs...good clean fun...

BTW, it's located a bit south of Tremblant, on the way from Montreal. In case you're interested in the course, check this out:

http://www.mont-avalanche.com/dg08.pdf

There's some references to it as recent as last year in the local forums, but now the number is disconnected and I'm not sure what's going on....

Thanks for the advice!
