Default Max, Coyote, and Super Stingray OOP?

I noticed some recent additions to the OOP category in the Innova Pro Shop.

http://proshop.innovadiscs.com/out-of-production.html

Does anyone know anything about this? Does this mean I should start buying all the Star Coyotes I can?

It might be a smart idea to invest in a small stash at stock prices while you still can. Seems like a good way for their proshop to continue raking in the coins.

I do understand the Coyote and Super Stingray going OOP. With all the molds Innova puts out, those two have to be fairly low on the sales totals. I've seen a few Super Stingrays out there, but I have never seen someone throw the Coyote. I would bet though that the standard DX Stingray outsells the Super version by quite a bit...plus it leaves room for the new Sri gray 3 (sarcasm)

The Max though...that one I don't understand mostly because it is a staple of their marquee player and 3x World Champion Paul McBeth ' s bag. His 2014 USDGC in the bag is the first time I can remember him not having a Max in the bag. He will surely have it in there for the Memorial and the GBO.

But if, as many have posited on this site and elsewhere, that what the pros throw has little effect on overall sales, then I guess I can see it. But, IN MY EXPERIENCE, I see many more Maxs on the course than some of their other molds.

But Andy you cant put out new discs if you have one of everything else already.

Just wait for the FireBird3 to replace the max or something

A slightly domey old mold Coyote in opaque Champion plastic = MONEY.

Oh yeah, I forgot the Lycan existed! Never seen one of those on the course either. Don't know if I've ever even seen one in a shop, to be honest.

I've never thrown or seen any of those molds out on the course. Not surprised they want to cut those molds. Sad for the people that use them, though.

Any other molds you guys suspect are next? I don't think the TeeRex or Monster will make it through the winter.

Yeah the Lycan wasn't bad as a good first large diameter mid, but with the dome and the fact it was plus mold that kinda doomed it with the more experienced golfers. I could see Innova going back to the old mold, or send it to Discmania, put the anny top on it and let it be an understable complement to the MD-2 which is off the same mold.

I have never seen a lycan on the course, and the two guys I know that did throw coyotes now have makos in the mix as well, and don't see much difference. I though the super stingray was somewhat popular based on how many I pull out of winthrop lake. I am not a fan of the mold though, I have tried metal flake ones that are as stable as a roc, and regular champs that seem identical to a shark in flight. I wish the standard champ stingray was still around, and the original champ cobra while they are at it. The king cobra is another disc I don't understand why they make. As far as the max goes, I know a lot of people that love it but they are the only ones that buy them. Are they similar to a monster?
