Just make sure that after you have thrown it, you look exactly where it lands, and ask your flight to look too.

The only time when I didnt find my disc again was when I turned away in disgust after a throw and had no idea where it went.

i had a clear avenger, it took me a very long time to find it everytime, so i got rid of it

This....i've learned to accept and watch every throw...even if i hate it. Haven't forgot a disc on the fairway since.
