Default If the Dart is a "Baby Comet"

like someone recently described it, then I have a question:

What's the Comet's "Big Brother"? (i.e., the fairway driver version of the Comet)

I have heard the FD often described as the Comet’s bigger brother. Hopefully VictorB will chime in, he is super knowledgeable on this topic.

As far as the Discraft lineup, IMHO the Sol would be the baby, and the Sting would be the big brother.

I'll throw in a vote for the L64 River, preferably new. A comet for me, obviously depending on plastic type, run, wear, etc. is not only a point and shoot disc, but a disc that just glides. Like most understable drivers, the river can get a little bit squirrely, but it has tons of glide and is dead straight when finessed.

Mantis in Discraft. Sting has way too much turn.

An Axiom Circuit Relay is the closest I have found, if one includes all companies.

Always happy to try and help.

The FD is like a longer stable Comet (like a 2018 MJ ESP version). Very straight flight overall, nice and glidey. The Mantis is like a longer 'normal' Comet. A little more domey, and as some high speed turn but very workable and SO MUCH GLIDE

Of course, YMMV.

I think MJ has mentioned the Mantis is his longer Comet...

This is probably correct. I have never thrown a Mantis, not a fan of the high shoulder. As far as the Sting I would certainly recommend a max weight Titanium.

The Z Sting has some high speed stability too.

I was going to echo everyone else above that the Mantis is the longer one. I like Neutron Relays but they're downright flippy, as opposed to the "stable" Comet flight.

Just to be clear, this is NOT a Discraft-specific question. I'm open to suggestions from all companies.
