Default dx python

I picked up one of these from the factory store in 150 class. Holy crap what a good flyer. great glide smooth turn over its like a river and a road runner had a baby. only threw one roller with it and it seemed do that well. Surprised this mold never caught on. Would love to see it in a star plastic.

I haven't seen a Python in years, but from what I recall the wing was HUGE for the time. It was out in the mid 90's with a Valk-sized wing. It was pretty uncomfortable in the hand when you were used to throwing Vipers. It was also very inconsistent flight wise. Some were pretty stable and some were uber flippy. It also was a large-diameter driver introduced right when the small-diameter drivers were becoming popular. The Python, Raven and Moray all came out too late to develop a following before the Cheetah, TeeBird, etc. took over the driver market. Combine all that, and you get a disc probably not a lot of people have thrown.

some times I think some of the molds from the 90's should get a revisit. I could see some of the older discs like the python, raven or discraft shadow if made in better plastic and lighters being popular with some of the slower arm players like myself.

There is a valid question there as to if a larger diameter disc like a Marauder or Python might not be a better fairway driver option for the low power crowd like myself, but in reality the issue I had driving Ravens back in the day was that they didn't really fly any farther than a Roc. I switched to Cyclones becasue those added more options to my bag than the Raven did. I have a feeling that if those discs were still around, most people would consider them mids.

Yeah that is true. The rave flew flew just a little farther then my mrvs back then. But I think part of the problem for me was they were all max weight. the discraft eclipse in lighter weights real glides out farther then the rim size would suggest. I believe, and this is just my belief, that a bigger disc like the raven would perform better at 160 the 175 the lighter weight allowing for more glide. both my daughter and my wife can get more distance out of an eclipse then a road runner.

Any way I think I will order a couple more pythons from the factory store because I don't think the plastic is going to last long.
