In my experience, heavier discs provide a larger benefit because the wind will move them less as it comes out of your hand while flipping to flat. If it's calm, you may be able to get a few more feet, but I'd rather have more consistent throws. My opinion obviously. I have talked to a couple guys who both can hit 400ft, and they both throw max weight xxx and nuke os.

I find the more os, the longer it will pan while upside down before coming out of it. If you don't get it enough power, it will be more challenging to get a proper flight out of it. Very similar to how a newb can throw a comet further than a destroyer.

It's my lower power that was making me think I should go with a lighter weight. I can get my beefy C PD and Z Pred to 225'. Would a max weight FAF Champ Firebird benefit me? Or maybe a step lighter?
