Just bought a flick to replace my monster... So far outta the box the Flick is a meat hook. Both bh and fh. It is the flattest disc I have ever owned as well. I have no real Discraft knowledge so this is all very informative to me as well. Thanks guys.

I had a Z Flick, it was useless BH, but money OH.

I have a ESP Predator, and it gets a lot more use. Its my hyser disc-can throw flat for slightly less than my max D while going hard left. Can throw it on a hyser angle and get up over/around things. Good enough with the thumber for when I throw that.

That being said, I also have a ESP Surge that is many orders of magnitude more overstable than the Predator that I'm trying to find a use for.

I use a crush instead of a predator as my overstable driver, and the flick as my utility disc. I prefer the flick because I can use it in many ways, and then have the crush for long straight or hyzer rips. Flick I can still get out quite a ways flat, or put it on a hyzer angle for a hard cut. The 150 flick is especially nice for low long hyzers. I use the flick forehand, backhand, overhand, and as the most consistent forehand roller I've ever found.

I started with a flick throwing... a flick. I now throw 99% RHBH and have come back to it. It's easy to get out 400+ with a proper throw & snap. I've actually flipped her a few times (very few).

I love this disc.

I might also add that my go-to distance drivers aside from the z flick are:

S.Destroyer (1 new for hyzer - 1beat for Hflip)
S.Trex Beat for hFlip
S.Katana
S.Boss
S.EchoWraith

All in the 168-169 range.

I Love the predator and have 3 reasons why everyone should have one in their bag...

1. If you're a 300-350+ thrower like me who usually throws stable-understable distance discs, A pred is going to be a meathook, It loves to go right for me (LHBH). However this disc has helped me develop more snap and perfect my form as it's hardly beat but its flying lazer straight, before it dives off fairly hard at about 75-80% of it's flight which tells me I'm starting to snap it really well.

2. This disc is money for for really sharp doglegs of all distances as it powers down fairly nicely and predictably. I.e. We have a sharp dog leg right, with a "mando" that you have to go left around but not too far as there's water in play to the left as well. It's about 275'. I throw my Pred slight hyzer at 75% power and it flies in a "C" and as soon as it passes the mando it sweeps right at the basket and is always good for a skip. I'm going to ace this hole someday, It's the most difficult hole on the course for most righties and I've skipped two off the basket, topped it once and nicked chains once.

3. I'll keep this short and simple. There isn't a better headwind driver on the market. Period.

I love the grip on the predator for both FH and BH, especially in the X plastic. In various stages of beat that disc can cover all the Firebird/Teebird uses.

I have pretty thick fingers and hate the grip on the flick and that's why I gave them all away when the destroyer and force came out. I did like the flight of the less stable flicks, but think the D & F are superior discs.

Ive got a 174g z pred that I throw for accuracy. For me, thrown on anhyzer it holds the tighest s curve and fades predictably left and drops its amazing. Less power thrown flat it makes dog leg holes seem like a joke. Get one, at first it will be a meat hook but practice with it you will learn to love it.
