Default Weight question

Just was wondering. I typically throw MAx weight discs (175g) I lost my favorite teebird which was pink with black stamp and been looking all over for it and kept finding 168-169. Wonder if they would make a big difference or any difference in throwing them? Was wondering because people seem to make a fuss out of weight. Thanks!!

Short answer: yes Long answer: it all depends on what disc and who's throwing it

i prefer lighter weight drivers because of how i throw.

Coming froma non pro at all type of player: just try it. you might like a lower weight more. but if you are simply asking will it affect the flight i'd say "yes, for sure".

As some would say...168 is the sweet spot for drivers.

All the distance drivers I use are below 170 grams.

My Fairway Drivers are above that as I feel they are like a longer midrange.I've got buddies that like throwing lighter weights as Fairway drivers so I say give it try!

I started out like a lot of noobs throwing all max weight. The only discs I throw now max weight are my putters and mids. My drivers I've found that with 167-169 I get a little more distance and find that they are easier to control. I love my Teebirds as well and have found that 160ish ones are just as stable as max weight.

Seems like I only notice when the disc is either very under of over stable. It gets easy to overpower a light understable disc. A light overstable disc will hold it's line longer.
