It would take centuries maybe. I've seen some old, well worn discs. None are even close to having lost the entire wing (which is what it would take to "wear off" an overmold).

If the overmold were broken off, or wore down, I'm sure it would be worthless as a flying disc, legal or otherwise. All the weight's in the overmold. A core alone would probably fly like a paper plate. If someone wanted to use that in play, hell, I'll accept the handicap.
