Want. So bad. So bad. I'll pay whatever you want to get a Proto when they're ready.

Hmmmm quite intriguing. I really dig the Buzzz OS for this, but I'm a well-known and vocal RDG fan. Love reviewing their discs (and giving them away for Hucking Aces!) so I'm quite pleased to see this coming along. RDG has wanted an OS mid for quite awhile now. Good job on making it happen!

Is this disc a "longer scale" or a "scale with glide"? If so I'd be "super stoked" either way!

Both and neither.... Lol.
The Sobek is a unique beast. Out of the box it is about as long as the Scale. It hardly touches 250 ft. On a full power rip. Before you think this disc is one dimensional however, you have to work with it to discover it's power.

I finished up 18 holes of vigorous RDG testing against our sponsored pro, Chris Gore. He is a finesse player and doesn't see the true value of a knife hyzer disc..... I beat him by two strokes on a nine hole course.

If you are a fan of picking a line and ripping your disc on it, the Sobek is for you. I threw a ton of flat shots that beefed out at the end to land in my desired zone. I also flicked a ton of upshots right under the basket despite my OAT-charged forehand. One. Critical difference between the Sobek vs. the Scale is that you can throw the Sobek like a driver. It almost reminds me of a shorter, more low speed stable resistor.

I also intentionally abused a Sobek to determine what they will be like as they wear in and I came away impressed. The LSS was delayed but the HSS remained STOUT. The folks that want to have one midrange that they can cycle from hog to straight might find it in this tidy little package.

Overall I'd say this disc fills a gap that I didn't even know we had. It is faster than the Scale but not necessarily longer (at least out of the box). The Sobek feels great in the hand, is supremely reliable in any wind conditions & made my life a whole lot easier dancing through wooded lines and waterside greens. If you want a midrange that will wear in time slowly but predictably while retaining a nice low speed fade, I urge you to follow this thread and pick up some Sobeks when they become available.

Thanks for reading

Also the Sobek skips like crazy.
The Scale is a lumbering beast that just crashes into the ground.

I'll be bagging both for the rest of my DG career for certain
