Hypothetical "Manufacturers Challenge"

Piggybacking off an idea floated in another thread....

What if there were a tournament held that pitted each manufacturers "team" against another. Say, top 4 mpo and top 2 fpo in some kind of team match play challenge.
Who would you all see as the favorites?

I think my vote is Discraft. Especially with their fpo pair of Paige and Hailey.

Prodigy would actually be my #2, and closer to #1 than I thought they'd be. KJ, Dickerson, Seppo with Cat in FPO is pretty strong.

Obviously Innova is up there.

I know such a tourney is not happening, but leads to fun discussion.

I think I'd change my answer and put them on top too. I don't think my brains fully functional this early in the morning haha.

All four are rated mid-upper 1020's I think? You could almost make an argument for any 3.

Agreed. That's why I think maybe it'd depend on the course. Some players play certain courses better. But I think in a team match, MJs veteran presence could be useful. But I guess it's not like either of the Pauls are rookies either so I'm not sure that's as necessary. But I took that into account with Sexton on innova too.

It is definitely fun to think about. However the format would play a huge role in determining the favorite. Would you play team score to par. Would you mix in aspects of Ryder cup and have better disc, best disc, and alternate disc? Also I think the course could make a huge difference in who you pick. If it is a long open course Eagle, Simon, Kyle Klein and I believe Casey White could possibly carry a team like discmania. Of the 5 biggest companies I feel like dynamic discs might have the biggest challenge but they still have solid guys that depending on the course could compete especially if you allowed the trilogy brand to compete as one instead of 3.

Hammes has some negative attitude issues quite a bit which could hurt a team dynamic. I think I would take the other 3. Though maybe he could be a team player too, it's just another question mark though.
