Easiest place to start is to fix your x-step. Maybe pick something two handed and walk it thru, should become apparent very quickly that turning backwards is not going to work.

On low power shots I don't turn backwards so much. I turn back like that because I get more leverage and the discs go a lot further. I kind of picked that up from watching Heimburg with him turning quite a bit.

he is not backwards nor does he have his arm extended back so early.

I get the concept of keeping the hips from rotating too early but I just don't agree with the video. The hip position is dynamic rotation through the weight shift transition. If one truly tried to duplicate what is being said on the video- literally, the hips would get jammed up and you would have no hip rotation and you would all arm the disc.

Why would you start a thread like this when you don't take advice and already know everything? Genuinely curious.

You knew that was going to happen. A tiger doesn't change his stripes. He's the smartest guy in the room, always

To his credit, he restrained himself until page 2.

RoDeO, a man's got to know his limitations. It's so painfully obvious, you're way in over you head here. The smartest thing you did recently was to open this thread and proclaim you were finally open for instruction. You should just STFU and learn from these extremely patient and wiser disc golf gurus. Even if you don't like some of their advice, use your damn filter man; you're coming off as an ingrate.

You want to turn back at the hips. By turning back so heavily at the feet you're keeping your hips from arriving in position. My back foot turns a bit away from the target, but not my lead foot.
