No doubt, as said earlier, people are trying to make this a political issue.
Other ppl: "you cant trust the cdc, they are ....blah blah blah...ect"

Its just how the world is. Ppl will argue facts and scientific proof.

Especially if a person gets enough of a following and can monetize their view...then they will continue to cater and push the misinformation their base audience wants to hear.

I dont think these ppl are dumb or naive. Its just the truth is a needle in a misinformation haystack. It would be hard for anyone to figure out who to trust.

The problem is, they're not arguing facts. They're arguing opinions. Totally different things. Truth, is also a philosophical construct, fact is not.

It does seem as if it is part of the human condition. Those who want to dismiss science, I am left with discussions based on belief and faith. I have never had much luck having reasonable discussions based on those principles. There is really no room in discussions of pandemic policy, for them either.

I'm old enough that I don't need to keep some obnoxious conspiracy theorist anti-masker in my life just to have a different opinion around.

Yeah, as you get older you find out you say "f*** it" more often to more things. You'll be surprised what some of those things are I promise.

Yeah when I am halfway between my car and the Speedway building without my mask. I say to heck with it and go ahead and buy some soda.

All it takes is some quick math to determine, that the next 40 people that you come in contact with, are also on the positive side of accepting the risk. I think most people are on board, so why waste those 6 steps and 4 seconds of your life to help others.

Usually I am getting gas so it is way more than 6 steps. Now if I am parking right at the building, I would probably go back and get it.

That's still a piss poor excuse. Even if you completed that "marathon" from the pump, to the door before you realized you forgot to mask up... is it really too much to ask to go back and put on a mask before you enter the store?
