Hey,
Looking for a recommendation to fill a hole in my bag that's always been a problem for me. What I want:
It's the last part that's been the problem... my old Pro D Buzzz turns over pretty easy now (more glide than I want and too shallow a rim anyway), and recently I was throwing a WS Shield, but that started turning over pretty quick as the disc is rather soft. The perfect disc would best be described as a Westside Shield (like the deep rim, bead, feel) but would be more overstable and more durable. A reliable upshot disc that later I can use to run the basket. Funny thing, I used to hate deep rims but now I really like them for upshots, starting to feel good. Am I basically describing a Roc? Never thrown one before but I have a DX Cro I won, find the rim too shallow and anticipate it will start to turn after not too long. Thanks in advance! Sponsored Links

Zone? Gator? Sinus? Rocs glide and are not THAT overstable. You wont find a ton of super deep discs which are very OS and don't glide as that generally means a disc is lower profile or faster and still glide.
Throw a deep OS putter with more hyzer? ION! ![]() Last edited by Aim For The Chains; 10-30-2014 at 08:58 PM. |

Oh man, you have to get a Legend Ghost (Legacy discs), they are beef and beat in super slow.. to a straighter flight too without getting flippy. been throwing mine all year and still no turn just a little straighter.
You would love it. |

Drone. While not beaded, it's a deep disc.

oh, Pinnacle Ghosts in Pink or Aqua are also beefy and very similar to what you described, they also beat in very slowly and i have yet to get one beat into a turnover disc.. Both solid options.

Sounds like your not looking for a gator, just throwing that out there. Gators are useless for anything other than approaches in heavy winds. IMO they require more effort to do what a roc/ghost can do.
A useful disc for majority of midrange drives thats overstable and predictable/easy to control in wind, deep, bead etc.. your explaining a beefy roc or ghost type mold. Go max weight on a champ/pinnacle/legend Last edited by in4d; 10-30-2014 at 09:09 PM. |

Try these; Drone, Gator, Harp and honestly a Pig does well in that slot too even though it's a putter.
I throw Tridents in that slot but is neither beaded or deep. |
