I love putters, and I honestly wouldn't mind throwing only putters for all but the longest holes.
I was wondering what are the longest putters? I imagine the ideal driving putter would be something that flies straight with a lot of glide, but has enough high speed stability to not turn over too early in the flight. From another thread, I read about MVP and Axiom discs in particular flying far? Which specific discs, or what about other brands like Discraft, Innova, Westside, Prodigy, etc...? Sponsored Links

I think the Axiom Envy is hard to beat for a throwing putter. I actually pulled my mids out of my bag for a while when I was bagging an Envy because I got such good distance with it.

An odd disc I use is the #2 Upshot from Lighting in Prostyle, a disc that is like a more neutral then slight US putter of a Colt but with a big bead more so in heavy weight for the #2 Upshot. The Dart is another disc that is neutral and a rather long flier. The Classic ROC although on the Innova Factory store as a slight OS midrange like a Shark at same speed, it is more a putter and only sold as Limited run disc in Star. The mold is a putter that is when I used a new DX a slight OS driving putter good for a beginner. In fact this was why I got a #2 Upshot in Prostyle in 2005, the Classic ROC was hard to find/temporally oop and the #2 Upshot is the closest mold in looks to a Classic ROC. That and wanted a disc that is more for uphill/downhill putting and long putting past 40 feet/US approach putting unlike the then only closest disc Innova made the Shark.
The Shark (not a putter) I got to have a Classic ROC flight for the driving putter spot, a Hydra is same numbers but the wing shape is not comfortable for a driving disc, the odd concave shape to the wing works better for approach to putting putter, I know having tested my dad's ~170 gram DX Hydra in same DX as the eras DX Dragon. |

Just to chime in quick, but I agree with ray, Envy's are money. I have no experience with other MVP putter molds. The Envy is so low pro that it feels like a mid, but flies like a putter, but longer. Sneaky distance. Great, great mold.

The Envy is stupid long, I can throw it just as far as most midranges.
I have seen videos of people crushing a Luna as well, but I’ve not tried to throw one far. |

In my experience, the Dart. If you're wanting to mash on the putter as hard as possible and have it hold straight, the Envy.

^^^ Yup. Colt or Stud, which is a little more stable
