If you look closely in this news report on Hitzman Optimist Park in Pensacola, you can see the park’s disc golf baskets, in this story of the Satanic Temple sponsoring the park...LoL:

No word on if basket 6 will be re-numbered to 666.

Speaking of The Valkyrie Kid (and yes, I've encountered him on one of his course visits in my area!), here's one of his cons listed for that Spokane course with the playground incident. The review was five years ago:

>>I guess inexperienced players could hyzer their shot into the playground on # 2.<<

Seeing the Cubs clip makes me nostalgic for Harry Caray. "Valkyrie Kid spelled backwards is Dick Eerieklav!"

Not necessarily "in the news" but watched an episode of Insane Pools:Off the Deep End the other day and Lucas Lagoons was building an epic pool for PDGA #9999 Ron Russell https://www.facebook.com/PrattGuys/p...0699978975381/

So the edge of the pool was narrow on one end and thick on the other?

I looked up his PDGA stats and see he was inactive from 2007-2019 with his only tourney being the one he sponsored this year. Apparently, the roofing business in Florida is quite lucrative. Who knew?
