Soooo, i tried closing off the stance and going toe/heel or flat footed landing, whilst the disc was flying alright I must have been jamming my hip up more than it felt at the time as my hip joint flared up from straight after the round and this morning I'm hobbling like an old man Think I will go back to Heel toe and more open to protect my old joints.

Maybe offtopic, but Teemu Wirkkala got pretty mean sidearm/overhand. Wondering what Zelezny could have done with a disc.

I grew up watching Steve Backley vs Zelezny, I'd have loved to have seen them throwing discs!

I wonder if your back foot is too pointed to target. Mine is usually right around 90 degrees like pitcher.

Here's some good info about landing foot differences, seems to be stride length.

This is a great video. I had been landing my front foot outside the line or open. Today I was landing the front foot inside the line and it really provided the brace I needed. This is a big difference for added power and accuracy.

(I also liked the analogy of the femurs as pistons outside the driveshaft causing rotation. So now we have the gas pedal, brake, pistons, and driveshaft in the throw. )
