Default 16 - 5 =

Well First off Thanks for providing a platform for newbies... My name is Jamie and I currently have two 18 hole rounds under my belt.... I was looking for something I could do with my older kids (20,18,17,13,14,8,7,6) yes thats their ages...lol... I ventured to ebay to find some used discs and won a Lot of 16 used discs for $100.00 the local course is free sounded like a good deal. They arrived and we just could not wait to throw them... To the front yard we go.. My son Kaleb (14) and I grab one each and gave them a toss... kerplunk.. kerplunk both went further than we expected and across the street into the retention pond... so we grabbed two more and tried to clear the retention pond... to no avail.... we were determined so we grabbed two more and said last try... I tried the it backhand this time and cleared it Kaleb on the other hand was still thirsty... hence the title..

so of the 8 kids and wife only Kaleb (14) Tristan (8) and myself are committed.. we played match play the first round... second round Kaleb did 82/54 and I did 78/54 we have work to do but we will get it

our local course has a back 18 we plan of trying it when we get closer to par on the front 18 word on the street is it is a lot tighter and all in the woods.

I love forums thanks for putting this one together ADMINs

Welcome! You are within an hour's drive of some of the best courses in Florida. And some of the best in the world in GA and TN. Part of the fun of our sport is traveling and playing new courses. You can put a disc golf course anywhere, so there is a lot of variety out there. Collecting discs can also become fun and very addictive. And it's always a plus when you can do fun things with your family members. The most important thing of course is to have fun!

I hope you were able to get a retriever and get the discs back. If you don't have one, look at this video as an option to make your own (I made one and it works great).

Are we just going to ignore the elephant in the room?

Eight kids?

Wow.

Not sure how you have much time for anything.

Glad to hear two of them are willing to be your playing partners.

Probably better to find an open field that doesn't have a pond next time. 16-0=? Is generally my preference.

Not sure I would play rounds this early on, I'd just go to a field and throw or perhaps get a regular frisbee and play catch in the yard, etc. If you play rounds too early you typically get some people frustrated because they can't throw as well as everyone else, etc, so they give up. If you must play rounds, I would play only a few holes and call it. Leave on a high note.

Attempt at adult humor...click the spoiler knowing it was all in good fun.

8 kids... That's a womb with a view.
