Calling ejvogie?
The only course I've played there is Ottawa Park - solid, park style course, lightly to moderately treed, mild (but significant) rolling hills, not much chance of losing discs at all. Immediate neighborhood doesn't look the greatest, but I've never felt unsafe there nor heard of any problems. Think Fire Fighters in Troy, but with a bit of elevation, multiple tees. Never played Woodlands Park, but from the map, after those, you're getting a bit out of the city. Quote:
2) That's a bit of a beat down for a vacation... an excellent, but very humbling, course. Last edited by BogeyNoMore; 07-29-2014 at 11:20 PM. |

Ottawa is a great city course. Vienna park is a great course as well and only 20-25 min from Ottawa. It's right across the border in MI. If you end up heading there give me a shout and I'll give you directions around the course since there has been some renovation lately.

IMHO, Vienna's significantly (but not orders of magnitude) better than Ottawa. Vienna's actually in Michigan, but it's Toledo Area Disc Golf Assoc's turf. Depending on game time and your schedule, you might be able to hit both courses and squeeze in a game.
A few years ago, my son and I played Vienna in the AM, Ottawa after lunch, then took in a Mud Hens game at 5th/3rd Field late that afternoon and into the evening - fun to watch some of the players that occasionally get called up to the Tigers. Ottawa's the only course truly convenient to the ball park... just a short drive. |

Right on. I will only have time to get in one round today plus with the threat of rain all day, I wouldnt mind getting wet a bit but the FAM sure would haha.
