I have been doing vector paintings and stencil art for over 15 years, so when I started playing disc golf, I was happy to see that this is a common way of putting custom graphics on discs. The size of a disc as a substrate is not really ideal for the level of detail that I put into my paintings, i.e. it is just too small, but there are obviously some really cool things being done out there. The talent level of some of you guys is off the charts!
Here are my first 2, and I was still ironing out the process a bit. Was getting some runs under the vinyl and hadn't figured out how to center the stencil properly quite yet. ![]() Top is a Dynamic Discs Evidence with the Plastikman figure, and an orange champ Firebird that has been thrown to death with an Aphex Twin stamp. Here was the next batch... ![]() Clockwise from top left is an Axiom Envy in Neutron plastic with a circular saw design I cooked up, a champ Mamba with the old Blue Room Speakers logo, a Westside Sampo (the driver from this year's Trilogy Challenge) with a portrait of the Ol' Dirty Bastard, and a Z Buzzz with a big ©. These were all hot dipped in iDye Poly masked using Oracal 631. Hope you guys dig these. Thanks for checking them out! Sponsored Links
