Default Remember Fort Logan, Denver course?

Do any of you Denver guys remember the old (extinct) Fort Logan course? That used to be my favorite Denver course when I first started playing DG, but then it got pulled when whomever was in charge of it got tired of all the beer cans being left around. There was a known "No Alcohol" policy but it was abused and the course got pulled. It was a true bummer as it was only 3 blocks from my friend's house. Lots of good memories there. How about you?

Default Fort Logan

I remember that course. I recently played in a tournament with a guy from Hawaii who said he helped build it. Wish we could put a course there again.

Default Real bummer

I also played that course quite a bit. It was the only course in the major Denver area and had some great fun and challenging holes.
Always knew it was at risk being on government property.
They have lots of land, would be great to have a course come back there!

Nice first post! I'd given up on anyone here remembering that course. There was another 9 hole course we used to play back then, I think it was in Lakewood/Golden, called Applewood. Also now extinct. Do you or Gumby34 remember that one?

There was some pretty good terrain there, it would be nice if they got something going again. But they would probably end up with the same problem that shut it down in the first place.
