Myocarditis, inflammation of the heart muscle, has been found in at least five Big Ten Conference athletes and among several other athletes in other conferences, according to two sources with knowledge of athletes' medical care.

Last week, college administrators saw a Facebook post from Debbie Rucker, mother of Indiana offensive lineman Brady Feeney, who wrote that her son was dealing with potential heart problems after battling COVID-19.

If anything, evidence seems to point to the contrary. Americans seem to question experts moreso than the people in other countries do. Everybody thinks they know best.

Because people don't like science, they like what affirms what they already think. The scientific process is irrelevant.

As far as the Rona' goes I don't know anyone really taking it seriously anymore. I know people who are doing what they need to not get hassled but, no one really cares.

I keep hearing the phrase "media flu", and from medical professionals too.

I am sure it is pretty regional. Medical professionals in the Detroit area would not be heard spouting nonsense like "media flu", but we went through a pretty intense spike. The teeth of this virus were very apparent in nearly every corner of healthcare. I am sure that is not a known commodity in areas where very few have even gotten sick.

Funny enough one of them is a nursing director/department head just south of d-town.

More of them than you think, they just don't speak up because of the medical clergyman and their apostles who belittle and berate those who don't step in line. (And I am not talking board review)

Sorry, ANY medical professional, that is operating under a license, and is making administrative healthcare decisions based on anything but science, is a quack and begging to be belittled.

"Media flu" is lame, pseudo political rhetoric, given birth in the minds of those with an agenda or some twisted disposition toward paranoia. Having seen it and having to deal with the death that COVID has done.....such willful ignorance seems intolerable.

I can honestly say that working bedside in two separate institutions, on COVID units, I feel comfortable saying NOBODY was on the media hoax bus. The wake of professional and emotional destruction, in both places, was a pretty strong deterrent to that kind of half baked thinking.
