There are quite a few people in the facebook group who posted 1200 rated rounds. Sponsored Links

Yeah it makes sense. It's not so much that the layouts are soft, as that many of the new holes are more difficult than previous ones, or at least haven't been figured out consistently by all DGV players. I kinda like it, but suspect the ratings will get lower at some point as people figure out the holes better.

Yeah, those are the layouts where high scores are possible. It's nice when a -6 doesn't drop you into the 800s or low 900s. But the annoying layouts are still out there. I had a CC-Crow's-Blueberry layout with mostly those boring Crow's and Blueberry par 3s and some easier CC holes, and -9 was 960.

All told though - if you look at the whole 22 round set I'd say the rating system effectively separates players. On Thursdays/Fridays at league I am consistently 1-2 strokes behind the guys rated in the 1020s+. That fits with me being consistently 990.
The real solution might be an "18 hole multiplayer" setting. Give players the option to look for 18 hole matches. Those would have way less variance in the final rating. |

Not being able to bump bad Pro Tour rounds with more multiplayer is an effective change too.

I agree. Honestly it helps me some... I tend to get sloppy and lazy with MP but I play a lot of it. Being able to hold those focused single-shot pro tour rounds on there is nice. I didn't feel like grinding my MP this update (yes, I did say I was going to above) and have some real trash in there. My PT range from 922 to 1075. My MP range from 736 to 1061 lol.

In the discord server right now, getting tips from Sascha (soulfood) on some holes. Some lines he's showing me have already blown my mind on Owlwood.

We were playing the downhill hyzer on Owlwood and I learned that THE BUSH IS A LIE!
Forehand through the bush immediately left of the tee is viable because that bush doesn't actually impede the disc.
