Nice slow, light approach disc...

I'm looking for a nice slow approach disc in light weight...

Something I could use for nice easy 100 foot and in approach shots that will work on both hyzerr and anhyzer ..

I use a magic right know but I'd like something in the 160-162g range.

Polecat Easy to throw, any way you want.

XD or Summit. To me it seems like the deeper putters push though the release angle more than do the shallow putters on shorter shots.

Polecat would be my recommendation too. I only have one in 175 weight, but it is as glidey and neutral as I've seen. Perhaps the Sonic is more glidey but not by much. The Polecat is also the best disc I've ever thrown when it comes to really fast greens. It's super easy to gauge distance, and it hits and sits like a champ.

Ibex. Toss is just a tad nose up with good spin and it will glide nicely on any line that you want. It's a thing of beauty, really.

Hopefully this question helps the OP; I have a Birdie 169g which is great for straight short approaches, but it doesn't seem to be very workable. Is the Polecat very different, or is it more of a technique thing?

I'm able to throw hyzer, anhyzer, and flat with the Polecat. It truly holds whatever line you choose, at any arm speed. It's rated the same as a Birdie with one more glide point. What can't you do with your Birdie?

I've found my Birdie to be beefier, and less workable. It is better in the wind, though.
